40 Years of Neighborhood Concerts
Carnegie Hall celebrates 40 years of partnering with local community organizations to present free Neighborhood Concerts featuring outstanding main-stage artists as well as exciting rising stars of classical, jazz, and world music. These performances tap into the pulse of diverse communities across New York City and bring local residents together to share in the joy of music.
Soh Daiko
The beat of taiko drumming has resounded throughout Japanese culture for centuries, but New York–based drumming collective Soh Daiko takes that sound into the 21st century. The group’s repertoire includes traditional Japanese Shinto music and taiko compositions, as well as original arrangements by its members. With a variety of visual elements, dynamic choreography, and impressive athleticism, Soh Daiko’s high-energy performances are exhilarating.
