It’s time for Obon!

After some unexpected downtime, our website is back up and ready to deliver to you the latest and greatest that Soh Daiko has to offer. This coming weekend, on Sunday, July 5th, we will be participating in the annual NY Obon at Bryant Park hosted by the NY Buddhist Church.

The Bon festival is an annual Buddhist tradition celebrated throughout Japan (and of course, here in NYC) in honor of ancestral spirits. In Japan, it is marked by large family homecomings and reunions, much like Thanksgiving for us here in the States. Come join us in Bryant Park to enjoy taiko drumming and lots and lots of dancing. We hope to see you there!
